A chance to get the missing talk shows featuring Goran

Postby Zone3120 » Thu Oct 08, 2009 4:46 am

A few days ago I came across a site which contains a TV show collection list of someone who has been trading for many years. http://home.comcast.net/~tomkle/ His collection is incredibly huge! It took me a few days to go through it. He has the following TV programs featuring Goran:

from his DVD list:
1. DV-198
Christmas in Rockefeller Centre 12/4/2002

2. DV-2681
The Ellen DeGeneres Show 4/21/2004

3. DV-3920
The Golden Globe Awards 1/16/2005

4. DV-5888
The Ellen DeGeneres Show 11/3/2005

5. DV-8407
The Megan Mullally Show 10/12/2006

6. DV-8886
The Rachael Ray Show 11/30/2006

7. DV-9407
Late Night with Conan O'Brien 1/31/2007

8. DV-9411
The View 2/01/2007

9. DV-10049
Jimmy Kimmel Live 4/12/2007

10. DV-14775
Stand Up To Cancer 9/5/2008

from his tape list:
1. S 121
The Rosie O'Donnel Show 2/25/2000

2. 7584
26th Annual The People's Choice Awards 1/9/2000

3. 7725
2nd Annual TV Guide Awards 3/5/2000

4. 8133
52nd Annual Emmy Awards 9/10/2000

5. 9258
53rd Annual Emmy Awards 11/4/2001

6. 10494
The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn 12/9/2002 or tape 10500 show
dated 12/16/2002 (tv.com and imdb.com say 2 different dates for this
ep)

7. 10572
Late Night with Conan O'Brien 2/12/2003 or 2/13/2003 (it's the same
case as above, the 2 sites say 2 diferrent dates)

8. 10743
Dateline 5/6/2003

I've been desperately looking for some of these, especially the Craig Kilborn show from 2002 and the Ellen show from 2004 as I've never seen them before. And it would be great to have the Megan Mullally show, The View from 2007 and the Jimmy Kimmel show in DVD quality.

I got in contact with the owner of the collection by email. He said the prices are the following: "I charge $15.00 per DVD to make a full copy of any DVD in my collection, and that includes shipping. On anything that I have to convert from my VHS tapes I charge $40.00 for a 2 hour DVD... First, if you just want one show transferred from VHS onto a DVD I charge $25.00 for one hour or $40.00 for two hours. The other shows on DVD, you get the show you want plus everything else that is on that DVD for $15.00, I just make an exact copy of the disc and that's it."

I wanted to have a copy at least of those 5 shows I mentioned above but that would be $85.00 altogether (4X15+1x25) and unfortunately I can't afford it now. :( (I'm still looking for a job at the moment+Hungarian currency worth not much lately so USD is quite expensive for me)

I don't know if you have these shows or not but if any of you would be willing to share the costs with me, I think it would be easier to get them. I can convert DVD format to .avi format and make them available for everybody to download.

Zone...

I don't have the cash right now to help unfortunately, I've just had to pay for domain renewal for the site, but, I may have some of these I can convert at a later date for you. On the date differences, With Jimmy Kimmel, and Conan airings would show different dates for programs listed with EST times vs PST airtimes as both run in that 11:30pm/12:30am timeslot.

Thanks for sharing this though, I would like to upgrade the quality of my video material at a later date myself so, maybe we can go in together when things improve.

JD, thanks for the domain renewal, we really appreciate all the things you do for the site. :)

It's okay if you can't help now, I know it's quite much money for a few DVDs. Well, I hope I will have the money for it at Christmas. Anyway if I manage to get those interviews I'm going to share them here.
